The new OrderOn.com platform is part of VDL Groep's broader digitization strategy, in which competencies from other operating companies of the industrial family business will also be integrated into one online 'make to order' platform for a range of metal and plastic processing techniques.
Automated ordering process
OrderOn.com makes processes around metalworking easier, making it possible to outsource parts of metalworking in a simple way. After uploading digital work files on the platform, a quote is immediately available. After approval, the fully automated production process starts and the products are delivered to the chosen address. To make this possible, the laser center at VDL Technics has been further expanded with new machines with an automatic clearing module and fully automated press brakes, enabling 24/7 production.
